Welcome students & parents to
...THE LAB @ john baker...
Here you will find information regarding our computer classroom rules, routines, procedures, and as well as lessons that will be posted the Sunday before the week starts.
RULES
1. No food or drinks! They scare the computers. If you do happen to bring food or drinks with you because you're going to/from recess that's perfectly fine. I have a spot for you to place them that's away from the computers. Place you food/drink on top of the bookcase that's on the west wall. Thank you! 2. Clean hands are a MUST! We don't want to spread icky, yucky, germy stuff to our fellow students and teachers! Please follow my 3R's (Ready, Respectful, Responsible). They're very important to have a successful learning day in the lab. The 3 R's are *BE READY We must come quietly into the lab in a single file line and sit in your assigned seat. Kindergarten through second grade will sit at "The Mission Center". 3rd through 5th grade will come in and sit at their assigned computer station. *BE RESPECTFUL I expect everyone to be respectful towards their peers, technology equipment, and staff on campus. That means: *Listening to an adult or friend who are talking to you without interrupting them. *Using the technology equipment as if they're your own. That means taking good care of them, washing out hands before using them, gently typing on the keyboard, and being mindful of where our hands and feet our because of the computer wires. *BE RESPONSIBLE YOU are responsible for yourself so please pick up after yourselves, put things back where you found them, and make sure that you leave your computer station neat and tidy for the next person to use. Thank you :) |
